| link herei hate when people say "no offense.." then subsequently say something really OFFENSIVE!
it's like, if you don't want me to be offended, don't make that harsh, rude comment in the first place.
"no offense, but your outfit is REALLY disgusting"
is that really necessary? you could say
"no offense, but i think you should wear a different top with that skirt", and maybe i wouldn't take offense
or "no offense, but i can't stand being around you"...try "no offense, but maybe we shouldn't spend so much time together"
seriously, if you're going to say something really mean to someone, throwing "no offense" in there will not make it any less offensive, it'll only make you look like an asshole Aug 29 4:48 PM MST
link hereDear College-Life,
What a shame that you'll never be able to read these endless letters of hate. You are so oblivious and ever so deceitful! You promised me that you'd be grand; amazing; life-altering & life-changing. You promised that I'd find myself as a person; that I'd find what I was meant to do in this world. Isn't that what your bright colored pamphlets read? Useless propaganda. & look at me now? All I ever do is question who I am and what am I going to do. Even more than I was questioning in High School. Not a day passes that I don't worry about my future and about what you're offering me. In the end, it turns out you're just like the rest of the businesses; you take my money in exchange for some good or service. But are you REALLY offering me a service or a lie? So fuck you, College-Life. I hate you. Jan 23 1:47 PM MST
link hereI hate CNN for spending more time bragging about how great their channel is, and telling us what's coming up than actually covering news. I also hate how News Channels in general make mountains out of molehills and ignore mountains as if they're molehills. Jun 22 2:10 PM MST
link hereI hate people who blame the entertainment industry for all the ills of the world. Video games are the current thing to blame for any and all violent actions it seems. These games are not the cause of school shootings and mass murders, they are simply entertainment media. If someone is unbalanced enough to go out and shoot a bunch of people, they would likely do so without the prompting of Grand Theft Auto.
I hate how parents get off blaming these games, and to a lesser degree T.V. and movies for their children's actions. If the Game/Show/Movie is unsuitable for your child then don't let them play/watch it. You are the parent, raising them is YOUR job, not that of the media.
If you can't be bothered to raise your kids, then the only one who is to blame for their actions is you, and possibly them. Oct 19 7:12 AM MST
link hereI hate how they take a show and say "to be continued" on the bottom, you already know it's going to be continued because of the cliffhanger they always leave you on. i mean, they should only put "to be continued" when they don't leave you on a cliffhanger, that way, you know the show is going to be continued, or go to the next season. link hereI hate how you can't pause of rewind TV.
when I'm watching a DVD, if I zone out and everyone laughs, or I hear something mentioned that I have to hear, I just rewind it.
but if that happens on TV, noooooo I just miss it, and if I say, "what? what happened? what about them?" everyone just laughs and says, "never mind", or "don't worry", and looks at me like I'm stupid.
and I hate that you can't pause it if you need to go to the toilet or really need food, and you just have to wait and feel conflicted...goddammit!
I need more control, CONTROOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLL!!!! Sep 18 8:47 PM MST
link hereI hate how sometimes on Friday nights I set my chat status to "away" or "out" and pretend I've gone out when really I'm sitting at the computer or watching TV but I just don't want everyone to know that I don't have a life. Aug 16 11:42 PM MST
link hereI hate glares on TV screens. I hate how I can sit anywhere in the room and not be able to see one part or another of the TV. Jul 18 12:47 AM MST
link hereI hate seeing TV coverage of a person that gets lost doing some STUPID outdoorsy shit like hiking up an icey mountain or going camping in the woods with a bunch of crazy ass bears or going out in the water in the middle of a huge storm. It's like DUMBASS. You, human, are not supposed to be out there in bad conditions. Why do you feel the need to go out and do it anyway and make a bunch of other people have to risk THEIR lives to find your idioic self? Yes, it's sad, and I have sympathy for them as a person, but honestly, they were indeed being a total dumbass. Sorry. It's the truth. Jun 18 11:09 PM MST
link hereI hate infomercials. Especially ones for home appliances and exercise crap. They're always like "Tired of struggling with that REGULAR blah blah blah? Now there's blah blah blah!" And they make the simplest things look SO HARD...as if that's really going to make me be like, "Oh yeah. I need that." COME ON! How effing hard is it to open a can with a regular cap opener? Or they show the black and white "before" clips of some lady trying to do sit ups before she bought "Ab-Blaster" or whatever. And the lady's like, "Before, I used to do sit-ups and my back and neck would kill!" Umm...maybe it's because you're doing it completely wrong you douche.
Vacuuming a carpet, opening cans, sit ups, plucking your eyebrows, etc...people have done this for ages! It's NOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL!! Apr 6 8:51 AM MST
link hereI hate how there is hardly anything good on TV on Saturday. I guess they assume that everyone is out frolicking in the park or something, but newsflash, a lot of people aren't.
Back when I was a kid we didn't have cable and they played all of the good cartoons before noon and I liked to sleep at least until 11am. After that, it was nothing but old boring movies and sports. Now that I have cable, it's better, but still nothing really AWESOME comes on Saturdays.
They always cram the really good TV shows all of the same night most of the time. It wouldn't KILL them to spread out the good stuff a bit better. It's easier to record a program on a Saturday than try to juggle three shows on a weeknight. Mar 17 5:33 AM MST
link hereI hate pointless commercials. Like the commercials for 'plastic.' Honestly? Why do they need to advertise? It's not like any other material is going to beat them out. Lets bring back wood! or "Hey I think these clay milk jugs are much better than the plastic ones" Where do they think the competition is? Jan 29 3:24 PM MST
