I hate to go to a restaurant and find that there's a birthday party there. I hate how the waiters and waitresses come to the table and sings "happy birthday to you". I hate that food servers just EXPECT to be tipped 20% no matter how good or bad of a job they do. I've been a food server for many years at several different restaurants too - and it only makes me expect MORE of my server when I go out to eat.

Seriously food servers, especially in places like California that already make minimum wage on top of tips, get over yourselves. 15% is normal. 20% is a stinkin good job.

An I HATE that some people think standard tipping should be 20%. It wasn't that long ago that it was 10%, so just be lucky you even get 15%. Jan 11 1:23 PM MST

I fucking hate crappy tippers. Thank you is NOT a tip. If you dont want to tip, do take-out idiot. I'm not serving you because I like you. I hate birthdays when you don't do anything and none of your family or friends live near by. Not like it's all that important of a day, but at least I want some cake. I've come down to hitting up every restaurant I can find that offers a free dessert to people with birthdays. Oct 17 2:08 PM MST
