I hate Shrink Wrap and most forms of modern packaging. Why oh why encase tasty items like cheese in these invisible force fields of clear plastic? CDs don't need a thin coating of plastic film. They are already quite happily protected by theri cardbaord or plastic cases. It is a waste of time and energy and fills the world with yet more pointless plastic. Almost impregnable, shrink wrap is the devil's sporn. It is standing between me and my tasty cheese snack, it prevents me from immediately playing my new Arctic Monkeys CD. It is very very wrong.
