I really, really hate it when you're having a casual conversation with someone and they start in with the "Oh, so you're the kind of person who..."

Like they've got everything about you figured out from some idle comment.

Same with the, "Oh, you're (characteristic X) so you must be (facile snap judgment)." "You're eating Thai food, so you must be one of those trendy people who have to try to be cool and not just eat normal food."

Or whatever!

I hate the possibility that I might be one of the people mentioned on a previous hate post. I hate caring what other people think about me. I hate being judged for genuine attempts to be myself.
