i hate it that my cats don't know what they're missing. i hate that i don't make enough to have an apartment with windows for them to look out. i hate that they have to be in the dark all day and their biggest thrill is waiting for me to come home from work at night. i hate that they hear mice running around in the ceiling because i have a cheap, asshole landlord. i just want them to be happy and have a real life. i hate being a poor loser who can't give her best friends the best. I hate when you're upset or depressed about something and someone says, essentially:

"You shouldn't be whining over having no shoes, after all, some people have no feet".

For one, I already KNOW that it can ALWAYS get worse.

For two, do you even realize that you just dismissed me and my concerns?

For those of you who hate this response and others like it---just as much as I hate them, you can always counter with something that Mark Twain once said:

"Nothing that grieves us can be called little: by the eternal laws of proportion a child's loss of a doll and a king's loss of a crown are events of the same size."

Throw that in their face.

I hate anyone trying to put counterfeit sunshine in MY rain! We need a little rain, it would be miserable if everyone were happy all the time.

I hate going to the store and buying embarrassing things that are not for me. If I'm buying tampons for myself, that's fine. But I can't handle buying pads for my mom. I know that the checker assumes that they're mine and I hate that. I don't know why.

And I don't like buying junk food for other people either. I'm not a big junk food eater. But I'm a fatty and I know that if I buy crap, they'll think I'm going to go out and eat half the carton of ice cream with my hands in the car before I even leave the parking lot.

I always want to tell the checkers that It's not for me, but they wouldn't believe me if I did. Apr 17 12:34 PM MST
