I hate trashy fantasy novels. While swords and sorcery type fiction can be fun and well written, the world is full of totally predictable, fantasy books. You can spot them just by looking at the cover. It will typically have a muscle bound hero or scantily clad woman on the cover and be called Dragon Song, book eighty four of the Dragon Wing trilogy or some such.

If you read the book's back cover, the plot is always the same. Some peaceful kingdom is under threat. The band of heroes must complete the quest (gather bits of a smashed amulet or something) before the time limit (three moons rise in the sky etc) or the kingdom will suffer some eternal doom (Lord Skullface shall become all powerful or whatever).

The book then follows our heroes as they go about their quest. Lord Skullface sends his minions to get the bits of the amulet (usually he gets one, so the heroes have to sneak into Castle Doom to get it). After the big showdown, the hero puts the completed amulet onto the altar of hope just as the three moons are rising, whew, the kingdom is saved!

These novels are just literary junk food. Worst of all, my wife's nose is always stuck in one! They are as bad as trashy romance novels. I hate those stupid books and the way they have made me a trashy fantasy novel widow. Please stop reading them, they are just rubbish! Nov 22 3:13 PM MST

I hate that all I want to do is hang out with my old high school friends, get stoned and watch trippy movies and cartoons. Ah, what a life it would be. I would rise at about 2 in the afternoon, stumble to the kitchen and eat cold leftovers. Later on my friends would come over and we'd smoke a bowl or two. Then we would proceed to watch Sealab 2021 and Interstella 5555. We'd laugh and coguh and laugh some more. Afterwards at about 2 in the morning we'd go out and sample some tasty snacks from such gourmet establishments like Whataburger and Jack In The Box. I would arrive home at about 5 and pass out until the cycle began again. I hate that, realistically, this will never happen. Sep 10 3:15 PM MST

i hate role-players. all they talk about is their "characters" and what special powers they have. they reference obscure vampire types in every day conversation and spend most of their time in a clichéd fantasy world. hey guess what, you're not "drucada" the devil's assassin of the "assamite" clan; you're just a pathetic nerd who can't deal with the reality of your own insignificance! no, i don't want to play mage. don't talk to me.
