i hate it when rednecks or hicks wear the ole "rebel" flag from a little less than 150 years ago (most likely on a ratty, filthy t-shirt/wifebeater and/or a gigantic, tacky belt buckle and/or a bandana for their disgusting mullets) or display it (probably on a bumper sticker on their old red Ford pickup truck, right next to the Bush/Cheney '04 one) and then claim "it's not hate, it's heritage (as if it were something like grits or sweet tea)!" yeah, dehumanizing people based on some trivial thing like skin color is REALLY heritage! great, great. that's something the South should be truly proud of. and then they turn around and say people who burn flags to make a political statement are "unpatriotic", because you know, having the confederate flag is totally supporting the US.
