I hate people who are against something, for example homosexuality, drugs, suicide, fireworks etc and instead of just choosing not to use, say fireworks themselves, they try to get the law changed to ban fireworks for everybody.
If you don't want to be homosexual, use drugs, commit suicide etc, then just don't do these things yourselves and stay out of other people's lives.
Some of these people's arguements have some merit. Yes fireworks can injure people, homosexuality can spread AIDS, people who use drugs tend to cause problems. However that is where individual responsibility comes into it.
I say, people's lives should be a free as possible from the law intruding into it. If people are stupid with drugs or fireworks and hurt someone, they should be held accountable for those actions. Instead, these people just want a blanket prohibition that punishes everybody. May 10 8:36 PM MST
