I hate that I went to a picnic today and we were all having a great time, eating good food and playing games. We did nothing wrong. We weren't bothering a soul. We were not using bad language.

However, of ALL THE PEOPLE at the park, a huge police truck came and parked right in the middle of our area for a long period of time. Soon after, a police car replaced it.

It really pissed me off because I *KNEW* that they did it because we were Black. We're all college students - extremely smart and successful young people - but they would have no idea about that because they felt their stereotypes would justify their actions.

It was ridiculous. I hate being treated as if we're fucking second class citizens. We're not, you assholes!

And the worst thing is that this really keeps me from liking White people...I used to have a ton of White friends but continually being treated like I have a problem because I'm Black makes it hard to want anyone White in my life. I hate that. Apr 26 7:35 PM MST
