I hate that getting a post secondary eduation is costing me so much. I spent ~$6500 on school for this year alone, and that only includes tuition, fees and books. That doesn't even start to cover the cost of living. Over my 4 year degree it will cost me $26 000 just for a piece of paper that says I have a B.S.c.F.S.c. (forensic science), but really where will this get me. Nowhere unless I follow it with a graduate degree, which then i may get somewhere but i will have to spend thousands more dollars just so i can get a job that can cover living costs, and leave me with some to spare for a nice living status. However, i will have nothing when I am finally done my education because every cent I earn throughout this time will go towards funding my education and trying to live sustanably. And in order to do only that I must work throughout the year but still not be able to make enough for what I need. Why do they make becoming educated so difficult, yet neccasary for a chance of living above the poverty line? Sep 26 8:47 PM UTC
