If a poet wrote a great poem about unrequited love, but then the person it was about read it and fell in love with the poet and they got married, then forever after, that poet wouldn't be able to write great poems about unrequited love. I hate that, and that is the nature of art. It happened to Robert Schumann after he married Clara, because everything he wrote was about her. Also, it happens when artists make the big time, i.e. Metallica and Dave Matthews. I love Metallica's early shit, up to the Black Album, but I hate everything since. Sep 25 11:30 AM MST
