I hate how my parents don’t think that music can be my career.

That’s what I want to do with my life, and I’ve already considered all of the pros and cons. I know that it will never pay well, especially if I stick to my creative morals. But I’m not doing it for the money either.

Every time I go to a gig, my parents say, “Why are you pouring so much of your time and effort into something that you won’t be doing later in life?” But I’ve already told them that I want to play music forever no matter what the pay is.

So I hate how my parents think that I never think about how little music pays. I KNOW. Aug 22 3:12 AM MST
